BAREMUL-18 W/O Nonionic Composite Emulsifier is a high-performance W/O emulsifier developed by Barel, offering superior stability and compatibility with cosmetic oils. Its polymerized long-chain hydrophobic end minimizes the impact of polar hydroxyl groups, ensuring the hydrophobic end can fully extend into the oil phase at the oil-water interface. This makes it particularly suitable for preparing stable W/O creams and lotions, including the emulsification of traditionally challenging paraffin oils and plant oil triglycerides.
Usage and Dosage:
- 2-4%: Add to the oil phase.
- Slowly incorporate the water phase under rapid stirring. After complete water phase addition, homogenize to achieve particle size ≤1μm. If the oil phase contains wax, ensure homogenization at <30°C to prevent wax recrystallization. Suitable for cold, cold-hot, or hot-hot processing.
